The mission unit for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) has been created at the Cabinet Office to coordinate the achievement of milestones, target and related indicators under the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice. The Unit constitutes the point of contact with the Ministry of Economy and Finance – Central Service for the PNRR for the implementation of the obligations provided for by Regulation (EU) 2021/241. It also carries out activities to prevent fraud, the risk of double financing and conflicts of interest in the management of PNRR funds. The Unit is head by a General Director who coordinates activities and functions and participates in the network of the central administrations, as identified by article 8, paragraph 1, of the decree-law 31 May 2021 n. 77.
As part of its functions, according to the provisions of art. 2 of the Ministerial Decree November 18, 2021, the Unit is divided into three non-general management offices:
- Office I - Coordination
- Office II - Monitoring
- Office III - Reporting and control
