Glossary of online deviant behaviours - Scientific committee

aggiornamento: June 7, 2017

iGloss@ 1.0

Wanted by the Studies, Research and International Activities Office of the Juvenile Justice Department, in co-operation with the Master Degree Course  in Clinical Criminology  and Forensic Psychology of IFOS, and inserted  within  a research project on the new forms of deviance and online crime in childhood and adolescence, this work is edited by Isabella  Mastropasqua, Valeria Cadau and Luca Pisano and avails itself of the collaboration of  many national and international experts as well as of the  scientific support of WiredSafety.org, a US organization founded by Parry Aftab, a lawyer who is one of the world’s most prominent authorities in the area of digital  security.

The name iGloss@ refers to the figure of speech of the oxymoron, because it combines  strongly opposite terms: modernity, on the one hand, with the use of "i"  (present in the most famous devices) and “@” (the commercial at used in the online word);  and tradition, on the other, with the nouns “γλῶσσα” and “alphabet  primer”, the book that Pinocchio used to learn to read . Since inevitably  it will   need   to be updated and expanded by adding new terms and explanations for new phenomena, the relevant editions will be numbered starting from the basic 1.0.
